Lanehead has a fleet of Master 2 kayaks on a trailer, making it possible to select a venue suitable for the groups' needs and taking into account the prevailing weather conditions. Most of our kayaking takes place at various locations on Coniston Water, however we also travel to Windermere and Ullswater. For more experienced groups or specialist courses we may use some of the local rivers or the Furness coast.

Introductory sessions tend to be a mixture of learning the basic skills, playing a variety of games to practise these and going on a short journey.

We also run skills courses and GCSE courses in kayaking, with the programme tailored to suit the specific requirements of the group.
