From the North East: Take the A66 west to Brough and then join A685 to J38, M6 and follow the directions below.

 
From the North: Take the M6 south to J37 and take A591 to Ambleside via Kendal and Windermere.
From Ambleside follow the A593 to Coniston and in the centre of the village turn left onto the B5285 signposted Hawkshead.
At the head of the lake, take a right turn towards Brantwood.
The Centre is approximately half to three quarters of a mile.

From the South: Take the M6 north to Junction 36. Follow the signs for the A590 to Barrow-in-Furness taking a left at Brettagh Halt roundabout on to the A590.
Stay on the A590 through Newby Bridge until you see signs for Greenodd and Coniston.
Take a right at Greenodd and follow road signs to Coniston.
In the centre of Coniston village, just past the petrol station, take a right on to B5285 signposted Hawkshead.
At the head of the lake, take a right turn towards Brantwood.
At the top of the hill, Lanehead is a white building situated on the bend on the road.
The entrance is just past the bend.
